Battle of LA: Open Qualifiers
Welcome to the largest bouldering competition (and celebration) this year!
Bringing all the goodness of Battle of the Bay) to Southern California, Battle of LA is more than a climbing comp. It’s our biggest celebration of the year. And we couldn't be more stoked to bring it to LA.
Open competitors, this day is for you. All open competitors must climb in the Qualifying Round.
Qualifiers will take place on November 6th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Open competitors in each gender category (women, men, and non-binary) will have 3 hours to climb on 4 boulders. The climbs are scored with 5 points for the first zone, 10 for the second zone and 25 for the top, with a 0.1 point deduction for each try after the first to achieve their high point. Judges will keep score so you can concentrate on trying your hardest!
The top six competitors in each gender category will advance to the Finals Round on November 7th at 6:00 pm.
The final throwdown has the top six Open competitors from each gender category climbing for the crown—and a $15,000 cash purse! This round is an onsight format with three problems for each gender.

1st: $1500
2nd: $1200
3rd: $1000
4th: $800
5th: $300
6th: $200
