Battle of the Bay: Open Qualifiers

Continuing the trend of the nation’s biggest bouldering competition, this year’s Battle of the Bay is set for March 27th and March 28th at Mission Cliffs! 

Open competitors, this day is for you. All open competitors must climb in the Qualifying Round.

Qualifiers will take place on March 27th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Open competitors in each gender category (women, men, and non-binary) will have 3 hours to climb on 2 routes. Judges will keep score so you can concentrate on trying your hardest!

The top six competitors in each gender category will advance to the Finals Round on March 28th at 6:00 pm.

The final throwdown has the top six Open competitors from each gender category climbing for the crown—and a cash purse of over $9,000! This round is an onsight format with one route for each gender.

1st: $1000
2nd: $800
3rd: $600
4th: $400
5th: $200
6th: $100

$40 for members
$70 for non-members

Late Registration Pricing: March 23 - March 27
$80 for members
$90 for non-members
