Touchstone Climbing is dedicated to creating a safe environment for all participants at our facilities. Climbing is inherently dangerous. Safe practice requires the active involvement of both the climber and the belayer, which dictates the need for personal responsibility. It is, therefore, our requirement that all participants sign a liability release. Our rules and belay tests have been developed to help us evaluate and minimize the potential for climber or belayer error, but they are weak substitutes for attentiveness and appreciation of the responsibilities we all have for our own safety.
