Sending for ShortiesSending for Shorties

Instructor: Emily Seelenfreund

Have you ever struggled on a reachy move, bemoaning a route you’re sure was set by a comparative giant? This clinic is an opportunity to turn your height into an area for “growth”! We will focus on training tips and techniques to help shorter climbers work around and compensate for their size, including smearing, dynamic movement, wide grip, contact strength, and lockoffs. We will also dive into mindset and how to approach climbs that weren’t necessarily set with your dimensions in mind.

Building Community Through ClimbingBuilding Community Through Climbing

Instructor: Flannery Shay-Nemirow

This clinic is all about integrating climbing into the bigger picture of our lives. It’s about connecting our personal struggles—physical, mental, or emotional—with our climbing. We’ll spend some time discussing what climbing means to us, both the positive and the negative aspects. There will be discussions on what changes we want to see in the world of climbing. Most importantly, we’ll talk about how we can build a deeper community through climbing.

This Is Beth: A Film & ConversationThis Is Beth: A Film & Conversation

Instructor: Beth Rodden

Join us for a workshop centered around women’s experiences in climbing, featuring Beth Rodden. This unique discussion begins with a screening of This is Beth, a candid short film that explores Beth’s journey through climbing, self-image, identity, and healing.

Following the film, Beth will lead a Q&A that will transition into a roundtable discussion that invites participants to reflect on the personal challenges they’ve faced in the climbing world—from performance pressure and fear to body image and gendered expectations. This intimate and supportive space is designed to amplify women’s voices, foster vulnerability, and deepen our collective understanding of what it means to show up fully, on and off the wall.

Whether you're a seasoned climber or new to the sport, this workshop offers an opportunity to connect, listen, and share in the stories that shape who we are as athletes and as individuals.

Know Yourself: Body AwarenessKnow Yourself: Body Awareness

Instructor: Ellie Rubin

Everybody can climb, but everybody is different. Therefore, everybody climbs differently. This clinic will focus on body awareness and how to read problems and routes for your body. It is intended to increase your understanding of your own body, what that means for your climbing, and how you can use that knowledge to improve your own beta. We will also explore some techniques and drills that you can incorporate into your training to address identified difficulties you may face in climbing.

Competition Bouldering Movement LabCompetition Bouldering Movement Lab

National Team members and World Cup semifinalists Cloe Coscoy and Helen Gillett lead a clinic focused on competition-style boulders, exploring how core movement concepts translate across different styles. With a mobility warmup, practical bouldering, and strategy discussion, participants will gain tools to refine their movement and structure their own training.

Projecting MethodsProjecting Methods

Instructor: Cloe Coscoy

Whether you’re stuck on specific moves or unsure how to tackle harder boulders, this clinic will teach you how to break climbs into manageable parts and approach your sessions with clarity and intention. We’ll start with a targeted warmup, then work through boulders of various styles—focusing on reading sequences, identifying limiting factors, and refining beta. Led by a World Cup competitor with years of coaching experience, this session is designed to help you project more effectively, build confidence, and walk away with practical tools to elevate your climbing.

Routesetting PanelRoutesetting Panel
Panelists: Flannery Shay-Nemirow, Nat Bell, and Claire Miller

Join us for an open and engaging roundtable discussion centering the voices and experiences of women and non-binary routesetters in the climbing industry. This panel explores the unique journeys, challenges, and triumphs of setters who are often underrepresented in the field.

Panelists will share what’s kept them in the industry, what it takes to set at a high level, and how they’ve navigated tokenism, gender dynamics, and the dual demands of technical skill and emotional resilience. We’ll explore the soft skills vital to thriving as a setter—like communication, assertiveness, and managing insecurities—and dive into personal practices that help shift mindset, find flow, and build sustainable routines.

We’ll also open space for rarely discussed topics like setting while menstruating or postpartum, and the feelings of isolation that can come with those experiences.

A roundtable for all genders and experience levels to reflect, connect, and create a more inclusive future for routesetting together.
